Round-by-round round robin schedules for 3 to 12 teams or players, with the team that sits out each round for odd numbers. Print a table and write your team names next to the letters.
How to use these schedules
Find the table for your number of teams, print this page and write a team name next to each letter (A, B, C …). Play the rounds in order. The games in a round can be played at the same time, one per court or field.
With an odd number of teams one team sits out each round (last column), and every team sits out exactly once. If home and away matter, the first-named team is at home; no team has more than one home game more than another.
Where these tables come from
They are the schedules Bracket Maker makes for a round robin with the teams entered in the order A, B, C …, built with the circle method: every team meets every other team exactly once.

11 teams
11 rounds × 5 = 55 games. One team sits out each round.
How a round robin schedule is made with the circle method: n × (n − 1) ÷ 2 games, n − 1 rounds for an even number of teams, a bye each round for an odd number, with worked examples.
Frequently asked questions
How many games are in an 8 team round robin?
28 games in 7 rounds of 4 games. Each team plays 7 games, one a round, so a whole round at once needs 4 courts or fields.
How long does a round robin take?
Count rounds, not games, when the games of a round run side by side: 6 teams on 3 courts play 5 rounds, while 6 teams on 1 court play 15 games one after another. 7 teams on 3 courts take 7 rounds, with one team sitting out each round.
How do I play everyone twice from these tables?
Play the table a second time with the two teams in each game swapped, so home and away change. That is what Bracket Maker does with Play each other: Twice. 6 teams then play 10 rounds and 30 games.
