A round robin for 7 teams has 21 games: each team plays the other 6 once, and 7 × 6 ÷ 2 = 21. With an odd number of teams one team sits out each round, so the schedule takes 7 rounds of 3 games instead of 6, and every team sits out exactly once.

Give each team a number from 1 to 7 (your top seed, or simply the first name on your list, is Team 1) and play the rounds in order. The 3 games of a round can be played at the same time, one per court or field. The last column shows the team that sits out.

How long a 7 team round robin takes
Count time slots, not games. With 3 courts or fields a whole round is played at once, so the event takes 7 time slots. With fewer courts a round needs more than one slot (rounds played in order):

Multiply the time slots by the length of one game, plus a few minutes to change over, to plan the day. On 2 courts that is 14 slots.
How the schedule is made
Bracket Maker uses the circle method with an empty spot added, so 7 teams fill a circle of 8. Team 1 stays in place, the others move one position each round, and whoever is drawn against the empty spot sits out that round. Teams sit out in this order: 1, 6, 4, 2, 7, 5, 3. After 7 rounds every pair of teams has met exactly once.
Home and away
If one side has an advantage (home field, serving first, choosing ends), give it to the first-named team in each game. Over its 6 games every team is named first exactly 3 times.
Playing everyone twice
